Our Mission
The Dickinson Parks and Recreation Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 2024, works hand in hand with the Dickinson Parks and Recreation District to preserve, enhance and advocate for Dickinson parks, recreation, open space, and capital projects. The foundation accomplishes this by creating a community of donors and raising private funds for park and recreation projects.
Our mission is to provide financial resources to expand and enhance parks, facilities, trails, and recreational programs.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Advancing the foundation’s mission and goals
- Attending regular board meetings
- Serving on committees
- Supporting fundraising and sponsorship efforts
- Acting as ambassadors within the community
- Helping ensure financial and ethical oversight
Time Commitment
Board service includes attending scheduled meetings and participating in committees or special projects as needed. The time commitment varies by role and season but is designed to be manageable and flexible.
